Duboce Triangle
Just to the north of The Castro District/Eureka Valley, Duboce Triangle is also one of the sunnier districts in San Francisco. Known for its tree-lined sidewalks and well-preserved Victorian flats and apartment buildings, this area is sometimes known as "Mint Hill," a name it derived from the United States Mint building, which is located high on a bluff overlooking the intersection of Market and Duboce Streets. Though located near boisterous Market Street, Duboce Triangle itself is a relatively quiet residential area set around Duboce Park and the area exudes a distinct feel of its own. California Pacific Medical Center Davies Campus, a few cafes, restaurants, and The Harvey Milk Recreational Arts Center located at 50 Scott Street add to this calmly electric feel. It is well served by several bus lines, the historic F Market streetcar, and the Muni Metro underground train system located at Church and Market.
