Pine Lake Park
Pine Lake Park is a small community of ranch-style homes, many of which were developed in the late- 1930s and early-1940s. Bordered by Wawona Avenue to the north, Sloat Boulevard to the south, 19th Avenue/Highway 1 to the east and Sunset Boulevard to the west, it is also the location of Sigmund Stern Grove, the site of the oldest free-to-the-public performing arts festival of its kind in the United States. Held every Sunday throughout each summer since 1938, the Stern Grove Summer Concert Series features world-class singers, dancers, theatrical ensembles and musical groups performing ?in the round? in a large amphitheatre set against a mystical forest backdrop.
